Joe Igbokwe, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Lagos State has said that for Nigeria not to break up and to ensure stability, the Igbos must be allowed to produce President in 2023.

He went ahead to argue that since Nnamdi Azikiwe left as a ceremonial President, the Igbos have never produced a president in this country.

“See what happens whenever they call a meeting for council of states, Only the Igbos are missing in action among the major ethnic groups in Nigeria.

“People say the Igbos are more interested in trade and Commerce but I tell you that political power is more important than commerce, we’ve seen many businesses crushed by Political powers in Nigeria.

“So the Igbos must be given the opportunity to lead this country come 2023, stop saying the igbos are not United, there has never been a time when an ethnic group in this country are in the same page, their must be factions, people are not always united, so it’s not peculiar to the Igbos.
