FG reveals how increase in petrol price will benefit Nigerians

The Federal Government has explained how the recent hike of fuel price will benefit Nigerians. The hike in the cost of fuel, as a consequence of deregulation in the past few days, has led to various reactions, including planned nationwide strike by the labour union. Some Nigerians accused the government of being insensitive to the plight of Nigerians, especially during a pandemic. Abia State announces Sept. 28 as date for reopening of schools

The Abia State Government has announced reopening of primary and secondary schools in the State on Monday, 28th September, 2020, to complete the 3rd term of 2019/2020 academic session with one week of revision classes. This was announced in a statement signed by the State Commissioner for Information, John Okiyi Kalu, after the State Executive Council Meeting held at the Banquet hall of Government House, Umuahia, Thursday. Nigerians attack Buhari govt over registration of ‘Self-certification’ forms

President Muhammadu government has come under attack over the compulsory registration of self-certification forms. The Buhari-led government had on Thursday ordered that all Nigerians with account holders in any financial institution must obtain, complete and submit Self–Certification Forms. The forms are required by the relevant financial institutions to do due diligence procedures in line with the Income Tax Regulations 2019. COVID-19: Survival fund will be available from next week – Presidency tells Nigerians

Amaechi gives update on Port Harcourt-Maiduguri rail

Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi has disclosed that upon completion of the Lagos-Ibadan railway project by December, the Federal Government would immediately commence construction of the Eastern rail line which connects Port Harcourt–Bonny to Maiduguri. The Minister stated this in Ibadan, shortly after inspecting the level of work on all the stations across the Lagos-Ibadan railway project.
